Hi Carne,

You bluntly say "Electing better politicians will not change the system that put them in charge." This is much like "Don't vote. It will only encourage them." It's how the US ended up with Trump.

The free people freely associating you advocate -- yes we need far more of that. But wresting our governments away from fascists isn't presently required? The progressives who've been winning primaries and offices here in the US are not Obama types. Most look back to FDR for precedent and inspiration. Can you dismiss his example blithely too?

The techno-fascists also want to see the state wither. Yes, they're corrupting the state. But can we stop them from imposing their own order in place of states without our using state power to constrain these sociopaths?

A fewobservations,

Climate breakdown, it seems to me scientists never take into account

Dialectics, things don't just evolve pressure builds like a kettle then change isexplosive.

One particularly obnoxious quibble is that ‘people cannot be trusted’ to run their own affairs.

And are the rich doing a great job?

urgent consideration of atmospheric geo-engineering?

Are you suggesting we blow up some volcanoes 😆

I agree with your position I used to believe in revolution but that leads to state repression or corruption, I believe only mass organized resistance will take the carpet from under them, push for delegate democracy and participatory structures. I feel your pain at the greed and ignorance of the elites find time to switch off or perpetual sadness will overtake you. You have a brilliant mind and a good soul.
