I liked hearing about your hustings. I've only known my local one which is very efficiently run with timers, warning bell, then if that fails mic cut off and or quick grab back!
We usually have free format questions after BUT because there were 6 candidates, twice the usual number, all the time was taken with their answers.
Unusually there was a small Palastine demo outside when we left. The Christian Peoples Alliance candidate was seen loudly arguing with them.
Thanks Mary. I said at my hustings that the ratio of questioners to speakers should be reversed ie the speakers should spend most time listening to the questioners - the attendees. Alas, my point was ignored.
How is this different from peoples assembly? I agree with the idea that we should start small ward based groups, but it seems to me the Left is producing to many offshoots really is like the life of Brian 😔
